Human Resources Manager
John brings a vast array of Human Resources experience to Rosemont Copper. After graduating from Arizona State University in 1996, John began his career at BHP Copper in San Manuel, Arizona. After a few years there he was offered an opportunity in the Labor Relations Division of General Motors. John spent seven years with GM and worked in three different locations. He spent the majority of his time in the assembly sector building the Cadillac Escalade, Suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, Trailblazer, Envoy and other SUV variations.
During his time at GM, John accepted a position with Zachry Holdings, a heavy industrial construction company, in San Antonio, Texas, where he further developed in the HR disciplines and broadened his talents.
John has spent time in the mining, manufacturing, and construction industries working in employment, training, labor relations, benefits, compliance, safety, and production management. His 16-year career has prepared him well for his current role as human resources manager as the Rosemont Copper project moves forward.
On a personal note John, his wife and their four kids are extremely happy to be back in Arizona among family and friends. He has taken active roles in the community of Vail in the education fields, coaching a local football team, and church congregation.
